ECPA Odyssey of the Mind thrives because of our dedicated volunteers. Your involvement, even just a few days a year, brings creativity and excitement to our OMers as they showcase their innovative solutions. It’s a rewarding experience that makes a lasting impact!
We welcome alumni, parents, coaches, teachers, and anyone passionate about fostering creativity through problem-solving to join our board.
Commitment
As a board member, you’ll attend two annual meetings (in-person or virtual) with additional meetings as needed. Specific roles, like Problem Captains, involve:
- Attending a virtual State Problem Captains’ training in January.
- Conducting judges’ training on a Saturday in February.
- Overseeing a problem at the regional competition, including site setup the night before, coordinating judges, resolving issues with the Regional Board, and participating in the awards ceremony.
- Optional: Serve as a judge at the state competition.
