ECPA Open Positions

Come join our team!

We have several open positions on the ECPA Odyssey of the Mind Board. Without our volunteers, this program won’t exist.  It only takes a few days a year, and it is well worth it to see the excitement of the OMers as they perform their solutions! It is definitely a very rewarding experience.

We encourage all alumni, parents, coaches, teachers and anyone who has the desire to see kids become more creative through problem solving to apply!

Commitment

All positions place you on the ECPA Odyssey of the Mind Board.  We meet twice a year as a board, with additional meetings only if needed. Most meetings are virtual.

Problem Captains must attend a State Problem Captains’ training on a Saturday in January, conduct judges training on a Saturday in February, and oversee the problem at the regional competition. Responsibilities include setting up the site the night before, coordinating the judging team, working with the Regional Board to resolve any issues, and participating in the awards ceremony. As a problem captain, you also have the opportunity to attend the state competition as a judge if you so desire.
